1)     In  ABC. if AD ┴ BC, then

Three mark Questions

1)      In a rectangle ABCD, P is any interior point. Then prove that                                         PA2 + PC2 = PB2 + PD2                   (CBSE 2020)

2)      Two right triangles ABC and DBC are drawn on the same hypotenuse BC and on the same side of BC. If AC and BD intersect at P,                                                    prove that AP x PC = BP x DP                                                        (CBSE 2019)

3)      Diagonals of a trapezium PQRS intersect each other at the point O, PQ parallel RS and PQ = 3 RS. Find the ratio of the areas of triangles POQ and ROS.                                                                                          (CBSE 2019)

4)      Prove that the area of an equilateral triangle describe on one side of the square is equal to half the area of the equilateral triangle describe on one of its diagonal.                                                                     (CBSE 2018)

5)      If the area of two similar triangles are equal, prove that they are congruent.                                 (CBSE 2018)

Four mark Questions

1)      Prove that the ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of the squares of their corresponding sides.                                            (CBSE 2020)

2)      If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle to intersect the other two sides in distinct points, then prove that the other two sides are divided in the same ratio.                                                 (CBSE 2019)

3)      In a triangle, If square of one side is equal to sum of squares of the other two sides, then prove that the angle opposite the first side is a right angle.                                                                          (CBSE 2019)

4)      In an equilateral ABC, D is a point on side BC such that BD = 1/3 BC. Prove that  9(AD)2 = 7(AB)2.                                                                                                                      (CBSE 2018)

5)      Prove that in a right triangle, the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.
